It also helps in molding the thinking of others into your favor. It is the biggest power that you have to reach your goals.
· Positive Attitude
Another best thing that an effective team player must possess is the positive attitude. He must not engage in anything unethical or weird. He must be like a formal and responsible employee or worker. He must be concerned about his work in a serious manner. He must be active and alert in fulfilling his duties and performing his tasks.
· Problem solving approach
He must be able enough to resolve the problems of his team members or employees. He must be able to solve any hurdles in his project management and must lead everything smoothly. If any conflict arise between the team members or in their task, he must be able to help them through resolving their issues.
· Time Management
An effective team player must know how to manage time. He must be capable of doing everything on time and must be punctual. · Listen Actively
One of the most important quality of an effective team player is that he must be able to listen actively to others. He must be able to pay attention to others when they engage in a conversation with him. He must also be able to listen attentively to their difficulties in their project, e.g. ERP project. In this way, when he will listen attentively or actively to others, he would be better able to understand their issues. By understanding their issues, he will be able to resolve these issues to successful lead the project.
· Exhibit Flexibility
An effective team player must able to exhibit flexibility with his team members. A person who exhibit flexibility can easily handle all the people in his team along with producing maximum output. However, a person who is very rigid, may fail to lead his team members effectively and fail to produce desired performance level.
· Commitment towards team and work
A best team player must be committed to his work as well as to his team. Without commitment, you just fail to meet a desired level of achievement and performance. You will de-motivated and your project would be affected. Therefore, a high level of commitment towards team and work is very important.
· Meet the deadlines
It is also very important to be an effective team player that you must meet the deadlines of every task. Whether it is a major goal or just a little task, you should complete it on time. A little delay in a step in project management, would affect the overall project. Therefore, it is very important to pay special consideration towards meeting the deadlines.
